Google Merchant Center: Agencies Can Now Link Up to 1,000 Client Accounts
Google has updated its Merchant Center help documentation, officially clarifying that through the Merchant Center for Agencies service, agencies can link up to 1,000 client Merchant Center accounts under a single management account. This limit had not previously been stated in the documentation, leaving uncertainty about the maximum number of accounts an agency could support.
According to the updated documentation, users with Agency Admin permissions can connect client accounts to the dashboard up to that same 1,000-account cap. While the change itself introduces no new functionality, it gives large agencies with extensive client portfolios important guidance, making it easier to plan account structures, onboard new clients, and manage long-term growth.
This update is part of Google's ongoing effort to expand Merchant Center's capabilities for agencies — the company had previously launched a dedicated hub for agencies and rolled the service out worldwide in phases.
