Chief Media Acquires Two Firms to Sharpen Its Amazon and TikTok Chops

Chief Media, an agency specializing in performance marketing, has acquired two companies to broaden its expertise on the Amazon and TikTok platforms. The deal was reported by Adweek.
The acquisition is the latest sign of growing M&A activity among agencies in the commerce space. Lately, many performance agencies have preferred to acquire small, specialized firms so they can offer clients full-service coverage on platforms like Amazon and TikTok Shop.
The reason is simple: brands now expect a single agency to deliver results across multiple channels at once — social, marketplaces, and performance advertising. Bringing together separate specialist teams lets agencies respond to that demand faster.
Amazon and TikTok are among today's fastest-growing digital commerce channels, so strong expertise in these two areas is becoming a competitive edge for agencies.
Observers expect more deals like this in the coming months, as the commerce-marketing market has become one of the most attractive spaces for both investors and agencies.
